Hello Stampers!
At my last in-home class, the stampers got an opportunity to play with Stampin’ Up!’s new Decorative Masks. You get two sheets — either stars and hearts or circles and stripes – for just $2.95 per package. What a fun way to create a unique background. We placed the mask over our Whisper White Card Stock and used a sponge dauber to apply the ink over the mask. Cool, huh? The 8 x 8 masks would also work well to create a background for a scrapbook page. (And with a quick rinse or swipe of a baby wipe, these masks clean up well.)
Here’s what the stars and hearts masks look like:
In the above card, we combined the Fabulous Four stamp set with the new In Colors (Mossy Meadow), the 2014-2016 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack, and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. This card, inspired by Alanna Wharf, was made in a note card size — 5 x 3 /12.
The other sentiments in the Fabulous Four set are perfect for creating a set of all-occasion note cards. And, that’s exactly what we did!

Do you ever show demos for your cards, I like this mask however don’t know how to use them.
Barbara: I would love to do videos, but so far I haven’t tried it. Maybe I can explain what I did. Do you have the masks from Stampin’ Up!? If so, position the mask on your card stock. The designs are just a bit different, so you need to decide what part of the sheet you’d like to use. I held the sheet firmly to the paper, inked one of SU!’s sponge daubers in the classic ink pad and gently rubbed the sponge over the image until I had the desired shade of color. I then gently lifted the mask from the paper, being careful not to smear the image. The masks can be cleaned with a damp rag or rinsed in the faucet and hand dried. Good luck!
